Increscent – Sustainable & Vintage

Sustainability is totally trending, isn’t it? and why shouldn’t it be, I think it’s a trend that’s never going to die. The more we realize how much it helps us & our planet, the more we are going to follow it. But starting a sustainable lifestyle isn’t easy because you don’t know how or where to start from, I used to be confused too but then I realized it’s always about the first small steps in life. So if you think you can’t take major steps, just start with whatever you can.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with any piece of clothing that has buttons on it. But this one’s a little special because it doesn’t only have buttons but is also a sustainable piece of fashion. I’m so glad to be working with sustainable brands & this time it’s with Increscent.

Increscent is a brand which believes that fashion is a personal form of expression. Ones’ clothing is an articulation of their thoughts, ideas, character and mostly personality. Therefore it should be chosen with utmost care and thoughtfulness. Convinced with the humble musing of clothes as objet d’art, Increscent creates minimal vintage inspired clothing. With a clear focus on aesthetics, they maintain tasteful standards of quality for each of their products from the conception stage throughout the manufacturing cycle. Each piece is made ethically in a small community workshop in Rajasthan, while preserving the artisanal heritage. 60% of the fabric used for our collection is from the dead stock of various fabric vendors and export houses, making most of the pieces exclusive. By doing so they are able to create beautiful clothing keeping cloth wastage to a minimal.

I picked this dress specially because of the subtle yet classy print and it can be worn on any occasion if you style it right, obviously. I wanted my first look to throw a country style vibe so I paired it with a straw hat & socks under my block heels. I think I’m all ready to live in this outfit for the entire week.

Look 2

For the second look I wanted to keep it a bit simple yet chic so I paired the dress with my boyfriend jeans & added a scarf on my head. This dress goes well when paired with the right type of pants and gives you the classy dress over pants look. Last but not the least, because the dress has buttons you could choose to leave the lower 2/3 open & give it a slit look.
