2018

It’s 31st Dec 2018,

31st Dec 2018, 1.29 am to be precise.

I’m lying on my bed, wondering if I should really write this blog post or it is too late? But then better late than never.

Let’s start by telling you a fact since it’s the last day of the year. I don’t believe in the whole New Year resolution thing because I don’t think we need a certain date/time to make any kinda changes in ourselves. I’m someone who sets my goals, whenever I feel like or whenever I think I need to do something. Well, this post isn’t about any New Year resolution but just a reminder to myself of how far I’ve come & how much I’ve grown.

To be honest, I’m someone who needs to complete a certain goal if write it down but 2018 has taught me that sometimes you don’t need to complete or achieve things in a given time frame that you’ve set because good things take time & that’s the beauty of it. Having patience is definitely something that I’m going to take into the next year.

Well, this post was supposed to be motivational & not tell you that it’s okay not to achieve things, so let me tell you the things that 2018 has given me.

It’s not going to be a list of things in numbers, I’m going to keep it as short as possible. 2018 has given me a lot of opportunities & taught me that hard work pays off. I didn’t know that I love photography just the way I love fashion. I’ve created mad content with some amazing people & brands that I love & hope that continues in 2019 as well. I started reading books, I never thought I would enjoy reading books as much as I love watching movies, I regret not starting it before (please recommend some kickass books, I would be more than thankful). I tried to stay fit by coming home & working out at least four days a week, while having a 9 to 5 Job (going to try five days a week soon) I learned how to edit videos & pictures by myself, oh, wait, before that did I mention that I started clicking my own pictures as well? Yes, I did! (still trying to get better at it) or Advanced Selfie as Sorelle calls it. I’ve learned way too many things this year & I guess I’m going continue learning because there’s nothing better than learning & growing into something better.

Well, now it’s getting difficult to think of more things, but I’m trying. Oh, yes, the best part about 2018 was understanding myself even better. What I like, what I don’t, what I want to do, what I don’t wanna do. I’ve discovered things about myself that I didn’t even know exists. It also taught me a lot about friendship. Last but not the least It made me realize that I’m not just a fashion blogger but an artist because I can’t stick to just one thing & need to excel in everything that interests me. Fashion is going to be constant no matter what, but get ready to see a lot of art involved along with it.

It’s 2.16 am,

I think I should sleep now because I’ve delivered the message I wanted to. So don’t worry if you still don’t have a New Year’s resolution or if you don’t start “something new” this year, just remember you can always set goals or change anything whenever you want to.

Tata.
